"we just wanted to let you know that you are being promoted to senior. the official announcement from ed nusbaum will come on july-14 and then you'll find out about the compensation adjustment at the end of july, but we wanted to let you know as soon as we could. congratulations!"

it really isn't going to mean that much -- most of my jobs already have seniors on them ... so i'll just get paid more without having to take on additional responsibilities. ha.
